Not Just a Toll Free Number

Whoever said that toll free numbers are for big companies only is totally incorrect.  A lot of small home based businesses and budding entrepreneurs get their own toll free numbers since this has been proven to improve the sales, market reach and their overall performance.

Unless you do not want to expand your business and you are satisfied with how your business is doing right now, you can choose to stick with having an ordinary phone number.  Otherwise, which is normally the case; you should get a toll free number as soon as possible.

Even professionals like cosmetic surgeons, lawyers, accountants and management consultants get toll free numbers too.  Some toll free numbers can spell out their name or their professions like 1-800-244-MGMT or 1800-617-KARL.

Most companies offering toll free numbers charge a very reasonable amount.  Usually the monthly service fee is just about ten dollars.  A number of incoming minutes is included in the package and if you exceed that a per minute rate would apply.  You are not just paying for using a toll free number but a bunch of useful features are integrated in your package.  In most cases, call forwarding, voicemail boxes and an auto attendant or receptionist are included.

If there is one thing that you should watch out for other than the monthly service fee is the reliability of the service.  As a business, it should be up and running at all times.  If there is a glitch, you need to know if a 24/7 support is available.

Since companies like Ring Central, Toktumi and eVoice offer free trial; we highly suggest that you take advantage of it before you may any decision.  You do not want to get a toll free number that does not work after all.  You might have printed it in your billboard, signs and calling cards already only to find out that you have to change it.
