There are too many online storage sites in the market right now but which one stands out. Which of these companies can really live up to their promise of giving the ultimate security? Which of these companies can really back up your files and give you access to it when you need it?
At about $5 a month, Carbonite offers unlimited backup for your files. You do not have to worry at all about storing huge amounts of videos and pictures since they will store it all for you in their remote online backup system.
So far, there is only one bad comment on Carbonite and that is the difficulty of tracking which files you have completely backed up or not. They have a color coding system which can be a little bit confusing to some even to me. The colored green dot, the outlined green dot with no color inside and the yellow dot maybe confusing but you can get used to it after using the service for some time.
I would strongly suggest that they create a more user friendly icon to distinguish which files have been stored in their system or not. A simple check mark would even be better than those dots. Overall, that is the only negative feedback on Carbonite but when it comes to the reliability of this service; they have our two thumbs up.
For the price of less than $5 a month, everyone would agree that it is pretty reasonable. With an A rating from the Better Business Bureau, you would even be confident to sign up for an annual payment instead of paying monthly. Live chat is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while live phone support is available during business hours on weekdays and half day during weekends. They do not have any phone support during holidays which can be a little bit of a turn off for some customers.
