Customizing your Resume' for a Federal Job Posting

Have you ever considered serving for the good of the public?  Have you ever thought of giving back to the country which has provided you with a lot of good things, nourished and developed you to be the person that you are now?  If your answer is a big yes, then you better prepare your government resume’ now.

Most of us do not consider working for the government after graduation; we aspire to work in the companies with the highest job offer.  We are just not aware that sometimes the government even has the most competitive salary for a certain job.  Just to cite an example, federal lawyers get paid a lot higher than corporate lawyers.
Working for the government can be rewarding financially and career wise.  This can give you a big boost in your resume’ which will allow you to get a higher paying job if you choose to shift careers.

The initial step in your application for a job opening in the U.S. government is to create your resume’.  What exactly should you include in your government resume’ which will ensure that you would land on a stable and good paying job.  The most important thing to take note of is to tailor fit your resume’ to the job posting that you are applying for.

You should list down education, training and experience relevant to the job posting.  If you are applying for a job with the Natural Resources Conservation, it would be best if you will be able to write about volunteer jobs you had in the past together with your milestones and achievements related to taking care of Mother Earth.

Do not waste your time and let go of this golden opportunity.  Working for the government can be more rewarding than you have ever imagined.
